CommunityGuidelines on the RoPets Wiki are recommendations that are used to resolve conflicts among wiki users. Users are not obliged to follow these guidelines, thus, not following a guideline does not result in any sanctions or punishment.
Guidelines may be used as a reference which users can approach (or point other users towards) when confused, and it is highly recommended that users follow these guidelines to keep conflicts at a minimum. If a user decides not to follow these guidelines, they do so at their own risk, and the staff is not responsible for any mishap that takes place. However, if violations of a certain guideline get to the point where the user in question is also violating certain policies or infringing human rights, the staff team must be alerted immediately.
Trading
Any trades that a user carries out on the RoPets Wiki, they do so under their own discretion. Users that take advantage of other gullible users are omnipresent on the internet, thus, while trading, wiki users should always stay cautious as to make sure that their hard-earned items are kept safe amongst themselves. These guidelines may not only be utilized on the wiki, but also while trading in-game or elsewhere to stay safe.
- Not fall for any bait offers or scams.
- Scamming is an act where a player takes advantage of another player by developing trust and then betraying them to take their hard-earned items. Users should always be cautious and should be aware of the consequences of any of their acts.
- If something sounds too good to be true, chances are, it most likely is.
- DO NOT trade items for nothing in return but a promise of exchanging something at a later date.
- DO NOT trade with players promising Robux or with players that want to pay you later.
- DO NOT trade with players promising Coins or Gems in return.
- The RoPets Wiki or Supersolid can do anything if you get scammed. Once a pet has been traded, it is gone forever. (see: Safe Trading on Supersolid's website)
- Not trade more than 6 items at once.
- Although straightforward, there is always a chance that the other user may not abide by the initial promise.
- Not cross-trade.
- Cross-Trading refers to the act of trading RoPets-related items in exchange for either Robux or items from other games. It is strictly prohibited on Roblox.
Scammed
If a user on the RoPets Wiki has scammed another user, it is unlikely that they will be punished for their wrongdoings, due to how vague the provided "proof" could be. Several ways of framing users have been emerging on Roblox, because of which staff will never intervene to deal with personal issues such as scam and hack incidents, as mentioned in our "Talk it out!" policies.
Staff will only step in when either one or both of the claimants or victims of the scam start carrying out actions that are against the spirit of the RoPets Wiki, which include witch hunts and flame wars, as well as other policy violations. (more information)
